It's a tricky place to shoot because the trees only flower for a few days each spring. So you have to make sure you don't miss it and that the weather is good. Also, the location is next to a pedestrian zone, so I can't just drive by every day to see what it looks like. But this year, thanks to a combination of good planning, good weather and a bit of luck, Amanda and I were able to get some great shots before the wind and rain destroyed most of the petals two days later.
