A White-breasted Nuthatch next to a syringe. I usually only see them on the sides of trees, so I took some photos surprised to see one on the ground. I only got a couple shots before it moved on, and it wasn't until later I even realized it was standing next to a syringe. It spoke to me as a New Yorker because drugs are an issue that is often mishandled and hidden away as are environmental issues.
